A Chinese Matcha, organically grown on the Taishan tea plantation, located in the northwestern part of Zhejiang province. As with high-quality Gyokuros, the selected tea bushes are shaded for some time before being picked to increase their chlorophyll content. Compared to Japanese production, this light, reed-green, and finely powdered Matcha offers a fairly robust character with plenty of body and the authentic pungency of typical green teas. The bowl takes on a mossy green color, with a strong, fresh aroma and a slight acidity on the palate. Rich in antioxidants, L-theanine, and natural caffeine, it provides sustained energy and mental clarity.
